Directions:
Most of Troop 224's trips to Big South Fork include a stop at Bandy Creek Visitor's Center, so these directions go to that destination. From Clinton, go north on Interstate 75 and exit at Exit 141 (Highway 63, Oneida-Huntsville). Follow Highway 63 west for 21 miles through Huntsville to U.S. 27, where you will turn right. Then go north 7 miles to Oneida. At the first traffic light, turn left on Highway 297 west and follow 297 approximately 15 miles to signs pointing the Bandy Creek Visitor Center and Campground. These will be located just after you climb from the gorge at Leatherwood Ford.
