Paint Creek Campground, Cherokee National Forest

Paint Creek Campground is a small, cozy campground in a wooded setting. The site can serve as the jumping-off point for fishing, swimming hiking, and (nearby at Horse Creek) mountain biking. Paint Creek is stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout, and native Brook Trout. It is open April 15 through November 15.

Directions:
From the Knoxville area, take I-40 east, then I-81 east to exit 23 at U.S. 11E. Travel south to Greeneville. From Greeneville, take State Rt. 70 south for 10.2 miles. You'll see a Paint Creek campground sign at Rollins Chapel Rd. Turn right there and go 1.3 miles to Lower Paint Creek Rd. Turn left and go 1.7 miles to the campground.
