Wind River Range

near Pinedale, WY

"The Winds" is a section of the Rocky Mountains in Wyoming. It contains numerous lakes formed by the glaciers and cirques (circular valleys) surrounded by mountain peaks. Troop 224 has traveled to Wind River Range twice in the last 15 years and will go there again in 2010.

Directions:
Wind River Range is located in Shoshone and Bridger-Teton national forests. Troop 224 uses Pinedale as the jumping off point for our trips into the backcountry.
