Plans Set for Annual Ski Trip

This year's ski trip is scheduled for January 27-28. We will travel to Winter Place Ski Resort in West Virginia. Similar to last year’s trip, we will meet at the church at 6:00 p.m. on Friday the 27th and drive to a hotel near the ski resort. Travel time to the hotel and resort is a about four hours.

We have reserved rooms at the hotel and will house four scouts to a room.

After getting up early Saturday morning, we will have a quick breakfast and drive
to the resort, where we will check in and obtain rentals.

We will ski until 8:00 Saturday night, then drive home. We should arrive back in Oak Ridge around midnight.

The price of skiing and hotel is detailed below:

Basic Ski Package (lift, rental, lesson) -- $70
Basic Snow Board Package (lift, rental, lesson) -- $88
Lift Ticket Only (use your own equipment) -- $50
Lodging (four to a room) -- $20

This brings the cost of ski and lodging to $90, $108, or $70, depending on the package you choose. Scholarships are available to active Scouts (75% attendance record required).

Payment should be made in cash or check payable to Troop 224. Please notify Mr. McMillan as soon as possible if you or your scout plans to attend this outing. We are also seeking adults willing to drive.

Additional family members and friends of the drivers may also attend the outing.
